Life is a series of obstacles, full of sharp #barbwire put there to test how thick your skin is. It is meant to tear you open causing you to bleed and hurt. It gives you two choices, You can either stay put and nurse your open wounds and never move forward, or suck that shit up and keep going. You'll eventually learn how to navigate the path ahead of you, ensuring you come out unscathed. Sure youll have scars. They will remind you everday that you never will make the same mistakes twice. #preachesfrompeaches
Ive been an Instagram Addict long before it was flooded with bathroom selfies from 13 year old girls with daddy issues, the Kardashians weren’t flaunting their asses there yet, and tag #skyporn wasnt all Duck Faces and boobs. Long before it was bought out by Facebook, turning it into a “cool” place to be fake.
I needed a creative outlet, being a stay at home/ Homemaker whatever, to have a little piece of my prior self back. Also to get a little “me” time in too. So I started sharing my love of photography on IG with like minded individuals who see the same beauty in things that I do. A community of awesome folks that have encouraged me to learn about editing and all the other photography related things you need to know to grow your craft into something worth sharing. I started out with a great eye and absolutely no knowledge about resolution, composition, color correction, well you get the picture, I didn’t know shit except that something was picture worthy and I needed to snap it and share. I have grown into more of myself on IG, meaning I say what I want instead of being fearful of what others may think. I use to only use hashtags and a short explanation about the pic or a polite hello to all my followers. Now I say what I feel, it may be some random Nugget of useless knowledge, a funny adult content quote I like, something that pisses me off, makes me happy or something I love and Im proud of. They usually have zero to do with the photo.
The hashtag I accompany many of those nuggets with is, #PreachesFromPeaches. Some are funny, but most are thoughts about stuff that matter, to me anyway. If your on Instagram Check me out @SwtgaPeach28 there is a link somewhere in my profile.
Resent Instagram post where I contribute to my tag #PreachesFromPeaches
Gardening is Cheaper than Therapy.
I can spend hours in the garden, getting my hands dirty while listening to music. Its my thing. The funny part is I hate bugs, spiders, basically anything that crawls. When I say Hate, mean I Really Hate them.. Its a legitimate phobia. Ive had several near death experiences with black widow spiders, so I probably look crazy as shit to my neighbors, always shreiking and jumping up when something moves. Its about the girliest thing I do. I get pretty damn high pitched when something freaks me out. I get violent when its something bigger that suprises me and scares the shit out me. I cant go to haunted houses because I swing when they get close and catch me off guard. The last person who jumped out and shouted “BOO” got clocked in the face. It was my husband, which i felt bad for like a second about. Needless to say he hasnt tried me like that since. Those Mad Ninja Skills I posses cant be contained sometimes.
==This post went from gardening to punching my husband in the face…. Im killing this blogging shit.
Ive been looking at other photography blogs and realized I didnt have to Title each photo, which I suck at, I can just number them. Is it a series, im not sure what the “terms” are.
Since I share single photos of all kinds of things its will definitely save time. So this is the first installment of Random Visual Awesomeness-
A collection of random, Awesome, photos of all the things I think are Beautiful.
This Photo was taken at a friends pond, my daughters and I frequent to fish for catfish. There is always a thousand dragonflies buzzing around, which keeps me from putting a pole in the water because Im too busy chasing them around with my camera. They have always been one of my favorite things. I have them everywhere around my house.
Hope Yall Dig It, if you do feel free to say so, or if you have any tips on running a blog. Id appreciate the feedback!
I love living in the country, for many reasons. The quiet, the small community, being close to nature, and the lack of traffic to name a few. My in-laws have 60 acres of farmland and woods that my girls and I love to explore. We especially love hunting for mushrooms. We find the coolest looking fungi, all different sizes, shapes and colors. I never mind getting dirty when getting down low to get a good angle. Smurf level. This is one of my favs.
I hate Spiders so much. This guy almost gave me a heart attack while hunting for mushrooms in the woods with my daughters yesterday. I pulled some mad ninja moves when I looked down and saw him on my boot. Seriously, it was a near death experience, shaving years off my life. I freaked out, but was able to snap a pic before he crawled away. Sweet pic after such a traumatic experience. O.. The things we do to get a great shot.
